Do
- Ask open questions: "How are you feeling today?" instead of "Did it work?"
- Protect their sleep, meals, and quiet time.
- Support new behaviors (movement, journaling, therapy) without nagging.
Don't
- Interpret their insights for them.
- Make their treatment a topic at every meal.
- Expect rapid, linear improvement — windows often open and close.
