This is a discussion guide — not a self-adjustment manual. Never stop or change medications without your prescriber.

Prepare a complete list
- All prescription medications with doses and timing.
- Over-the-counter medications used regularly.
- Supplements, vitamins, and herbal products.
- Recreational substances and frequency, honestly.
- Recent antibiotics, antifungals, or grapefruit juice (CYP3A4 considerations).
Specific classes to ask about
- Benzodiazepines: may blunt ketamine's antidepressant effect; some clinics adjust timing.
- Lamotrigine: may reduce ketamine's dissociative and antidepressant effects.
- Opioids: combined respiratory depression risk.
- Stimulants: cardiovascular load consideration.
- MAOIs: discuss carefully; hypertensive considerations.
- Blood pressure medications: timing on session day.
Questions to ask
- Should I take my morning meds on session day?
- Are any of these likely to dampen ketamine's effects?
- Any I should temporarily reduce, with your supervision?
- Any supplements I should pause for safety?
- How will we coordinate if you want to adjust anything?
