Quick answer
Can I take my ADHD meds the day of treatment?
Some clinics ask patients to hold stimulant doses on session day because both ketamine and stimulants raise blood pressure and heart rate. Atomoxetine and other non-stimulants are typically continued. Always follow the specific clinic's protocol.

Stimulants

Methylphenidate and amphetamine-based stimulants acutely raise BP and HR. Combined with ketamine, this can compound cardiovascular load. Many clinics ask patients to skip the morning dose on session day.

Non-stimulants

Atomoxetine, guanfacine, and clonidine are typically continued without modification.
